POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility is the research and resolution of outstanding discrepancies between the Accounting System (DAS), Recordkeeping System (PARIS) and the Fund Accountant team. The incumbent is also involved in the posting of dividends, Share Accounting functions, Employer Stock transactions, involvement in the setup of blended funds and custom portfolios and the Fund Management Calendar.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare daily trade sheets and reconciliations for the share accounting funds.
2. Monitor and reconcile daily Blended fund activity.
3. Research outstanding discrepancies through mainframe queries and Crystal
reports and prepare appropriate entries.
4. Review and respond to 22c-2 requests from outside fund families.
5. Complete new account setups for plan level funds.
6. Confirm and reconcile Mutual Fund distributions.
7. Prepare monthly redemption fee payments to outside fund families.
8. Reconcile month end daily dividend fund reinvestments. Process month end
adjustments to balance funds.
9. Monitor the fund management calendar daily to validate information and send
out large trade notifications.
10. Analyze discrepancies to determine cause and suggest corrective action to
prevent future occurrences.
11. Prepare daily trade sheets and reconciliations for the share accounting funds.
12. Generate aging reports using Excel.
13. Comply with service standards to meet quality indicators for aging.
14. Participate in special projects as needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
1. Four year degree in accounting or finance required; 3-5 years investment
company industry experience preferred. Transfer Agent experience is a plus.
2. Strong analytical and project management skills.
3. Strong knowledge of reconciliation processes.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and Windows NT. Working knowledge
of Crystal Reports a plus.
5. Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills required.
6. Ability to work independently and within a team environment with minimal
management guidance.
7. Intermediate knowledge of transfer agent regulatory requirements under SEC
rules and regulations a plus.
8. Ability to communicate with customers, coworkers and management in a
manner that is conducive to a positive working environment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
