Claims Analyst

An insurance company in Westchester County is actively seeking an organized and dynamic professional to join their team as a Claims Analyst.
In this role, the Claims Analyst will be responsible for the triaging of reported claims and tasking the correspondence to the proper claim handler with appropriate labels and categories.
Responsibilities The Claims Analyst will:
Ensure all proportional Catastrophe claims are recorded and tracked in Claim Center Research contracts in Polaris to ensure claims are assigned to the proper reinsurance agreement Ensure all correspondence reported to the company is managed in a timely manner and assigned to claim handlers with relevant tasks Review and correspond with brokers via email on open receivable items, clarify claims that are not properly reported or request additional information Process financial transactions for payments, reserves, and reinstatement premiums Interact with management to suggest transactional efficiencies Qualifications 1-3 years of related work experience in the processing/data entry of Casualty, Property, Professional, and WC claims Ability to review and analyze claims updates/first notices of loss and recognize the need to request additional information when incomplete or incorrectly reported Communicate clearly and succinctly whether in oral or written form Ability to establish and maintain close working relationship with Claims technical team and Reinsurance processing team Desired skills Familiarity with Guidewire and ImageRight Recommended Skills Accounts Receivable Claim Processing Data Entry Finance Guidewire Property Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
