Job Description Summary

The responsibilities for this position will include interacting with the Pricing/Investment Management areas and the fund families for outside fund operations. The position incorporates a broad set of functions including fund research and set-up, revenue sharing, fund changes and mergers, revenue collection, and reconciling.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Pricing/Investment Management areas to provide outside fund trading and revenue collection related information. Utilize all available resources including Sunguard, Vanguard, Fidelity, contract information on file, direct contact with the fund families, and other internet based sources to gather all required data.
  • Heavily involved in fund research and set-up including establishing the fund accounts with the Trading partners. Establish plan level trading accounts as needed and coordinate the needed paperwork.
  • Keep in regular contact with fund families and address relationship issues related to contract terms or revenue collection. Solicit and verify information related to new and existing funds.
  • Maintain a shared database of mutual fund related fee information that is accurate and up to date at all times. Look to implement process improvements. Maintain files which substantiate all the information on file for each fund family. Maintain an awareness of revenue changes and their impact on disclosure requirements.
  • Prepare fee collection compare between accounting records versus vendor records.
  • Participate in the revenue reconciliation process to insure that variances are addressed and collection occurs.
  • Fund Changes/Mergers/Closures- Work with fund families to understand the impact of fund changes/mergers as they relate to the funds on the system. Communicate fund changes to various internal groups as well as reflect the changes on the system.
  • Review and respond to 22c-2 requests received from fund families. Support Transaction Monitoring Committee with running and reviewing system generated reports.
  • Assist the Trading Group as time permits and in peak periods with reconciling and analyzing discrepancies.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Accounting or equivalent education/experience. Up to 2 years of experience, with degree. Working knowledge of accounting area preferred (for example, investments, insurance products, premium, tax).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Reconciliation experience.
  • Investment company experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Sequel knowledge is preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
