Controller

job summary:

One of our Clients is seeking a Controller who is interested in working in all aspects of accounting and related areas. The role has wide-ranging responsibilities and is a hands on position. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and will be well versed in cost accounting, journal entries, financial statement preparations, and managing payables and receivables.

responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end close and provide detailed operational analysis

  • Assist in Annual Budgeting process

  • Daily recordkeeping

  • Month end reconciliations and closes

  • Financial Statement preparation

  • Year-end audits

  • Cash flow planning and treasury management

  • Budgeting

  • Special projects as needed for senior management

qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in accounting management or other related fields

  • Strong excel skills and computer skills in accounting programs

  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP

  • Strong leadership qualities

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Deadline and detail-oriented

  • Able to manage multiple tasks independently and simultaneously

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
