Hedge Fund Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION The Hedge Fund Accountant will be responsible for: Supporting all aspects of ad-hocreporting  Performing month-end close processes  Accurate calculation of fund NAVs  Production of investor allocations and calculation of management/ incentive fees Posting accounting entries to ledger  Working with various products including bonds, swaps, CDOs, ABS, equities, options, FX, repos, and futures  Working on a global team that is responsible for reconciling cash/securities to outside sources, pricing the fund portfolios, and calculating daily profit and loss Assisting with researching internal differences between the accounting and trade entry systems   Working with auditors to prepare and present year-end financial accounts REQUIRED SKILLS Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline  5- 8 years' experience/knowledge as a hedge fund accountant or auditor of hedge funds  Exceptional organizational and written/verbal communication skills  Fund Accountingexperience with exposure to operations Financial statement preparation/review experience  Strong Excel knowledge (Pivot Table, Sumif, Vlookup)  Effective communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills  Desired Skills Experience within an audit firm, fund or bank, or as an administrator Geneva and/or Advent software knowledge J144354
Salary Range: $85K - $105K
Minimum Qualification
5 - 7 years

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
